The latest innovation from Achilles is a ‘Dimensionally Stable’ product. One of the biggest challenges with any clear PVC blind products is instability. Without any reinforcing, PVC is susceptible to expansion and contraction. This issue is well known to the market but there has never been a solution until now. Achilles clear PVC blinds have developed a solution to keep the product stable providing benefits in both fabrication and function. Once again Achilles clear PVC raises the bar for performance.

polyester base cloth to reduce unsightly mildew which
can be visible when the fabric is used in transparent light filtering

The Vertiscreen Retractable Sun Blinds easily and discretely fitted to an existing home or commercial building. Vertiscreen can also be installed inside a reveal to totally hide the components from view. Its compact profile includes a neat 95mm x 95mm aluminum head box, or a 125mm x 125mm aluminium head box, designer bottom rail and side channels, which can be powder coated to any colour required. An important contributor to Vertiscreen’s energy efficient design is the narrow gap between glass and fabric, which does not allow the glass to become hot.
An alternative to the aluminium side channels is our Stainless Steel wire side guide system, with 316 grade Stainless Steel fittings to further enhance the appearance of Vertiscreen. This option is available to extend the stylish, and practical applications for Vertiscreen. With the motorised Vertiscreen we can also offer a further option to keep the fabric taut, while the awning is in the fully down position – Windfast is available only with the motorised Vertiscreen, and can be fitted to vertiscreens up to 3 metres in width.
Depending on the fabric chosen, some of the benefits achieved with Vertiscreen will be improved insulation from heat gain and loss. UV shielding and reduction of glare. An opaque fabric can be used to create a near total blockout. While a sheer fabric can offer sun-protection without losing your view. Options for Vertiscreen Retractable Sun Blinds are manual operation with a gearbox or fully automatic operation using our Tubular Drive Motors. Motorisation further allows group control over a number of windows simultaneously, timer function and climate sensor.
