European Standard EN 13561 Compliance
Under the ‘EN 13561 External blinds – Performance requirements including safety’ guidelines, the Viento awning achieves a Wind Class 2 rating. This means the system can safely withstand wind speeds between 29–38 km/h (equivalent to a Force 5 on the Beaufort scale), depending on your specific model number and awning size.
Important Performance Note: To successfully achieve these wind ratings, installers must build and mount the system according to strict manufacturer specifications. Furthermore, you must use authentic Turnils components and a certified fabric that complies fully with the standard outlined in the component book.
The Turnils Awnings are proudly assembled right here in Australia using precision-engineered components by Turnils Sweden (supplied by Hunter Douglas).
